I don't feel this is one of my better strips so far. Or at least I don't feel as much time was put into this one due to my not feeling well and with Thanksgiving over and December starting. We were supposed to have family over this weekend, but they canceled last minute due to illnesses and Nana was feeling all, let's decorate the house for Christmas before they get here. Added to that, I was busy pulling out instructions from the LEGO Club Jr. magazine to work with my daughter on some of the past Christmas themed LEGO builds there are.

I have also come to the realization that I've been shooting my strip for widescreen and when I put the photos in, it's like a standard t.v. screen where the ends are getting cut off. I'm not happy. Especially for the last panel. I wanted Penguin in the shot too.

Yay! HQ my favorite villianess. Love your punch gun. I think you did pretty good. So is this comic set in Gotham? I would say no but I never know.

No, the comic won't be set in Gotham. At current when I call the city by name, it will be New Brick City.

Harlequinn is the best character ever.

Interesting tie-in with the Batman villains!

And I know just how you feel - shooting in widescreen without realizing certainly caused me quite a few problems after I got my new camera. You might remember how around Episode 20 of ZO, there was an episode with way too much dialogue and very cramped pictures... It threw my framing way off...

I hope you can find a way to switch your camera settings to "fullscreen," or something.

As for your not feeling that this is your best, I know that feeling all too well. I think the episode as a whole works pretty well, and the photography is pretty good. The lighting in the dark prison setting seems neither overly bright, nor too dark.

The only thing that stands out for me is two-face's line at the end... I'm not sure how many insane criminals properly use "whom," and when using "whom," I think it would've had a more natural flow to it, had it been "I wonder to whom we'll owe this?" It's a minor detail that isn't incorrect, nor is it really all that bad, it just seems a little odd to me personally.

I'll figure it out with the "full screen" effect for future shots.

The Two-Face whom I am most familiar with is from the Batman the Animated series. And he was something of a Gothamite Elite before his becoming Two-Face. So I imagine him being somewhat proper in speech. there's too I couldn't get Penguin into the shot, so I melded part of his speech with Two-Face's. And Penguin sees himself as culturally refined, so proper speech works for him.

And as always, I can go back in, as in an earlier shot, make a minor edit to what seems to flow more naturally or correct spelling errors when they're pointed out.

Of course, the more I look at "I wonder to whom we'll owe this?" and I see the "to" added in, I wonder if I had one of my typos where I left out a word.

No matter. It can get edited in and fixed.

I agree that Two-Face and the Penguin did seem somewhat "elite," as you put it, so it would follow that their speech would be more refined than that of the typical villain or gangster. And I know what you mean about having to combine dialogue, I have to do pretty much exactly the same thing

I don't think you left out any words in the dialogue, I just think the sentence flows more naturally with "to" in the middle, instead of at the end, where you have it right now.
