Here we are with part 1 of 3.

I'd like to note the reason I ended up with two menorahs for this set is that my daughter on seeing the first one, wanted to make one too. So after hers was made, I incorporated it into the script.

Yes, Johnny is Jewish and Robanukah is in reference to Futurama where the robot character of that show, Bender has been known to make up robot holidays in order to get out of working.

So, you pulled a "George Lucas" and let your daughter directly influence your work? Risky move, but I think it worked! (I'm not sure that Jarjar Binks in George Lucas's case did though...)

I'm just now getting into Futurama, what a great show! I really missed out on it.

It was only a menorah... sides I was able to pull in a Kwanza reference for it.

Much fun as Jar Jar was a for a bit to torment people with when I'd quote him, he was a poor attempt at giving a show comedy relief. But at least we can all blame him for the Empire.

I recently spent an entire day watching all 6 Star Wars movies (not by myself, of course, but with a very nice girl I met.) It was only then that I realized how much Jar Jar really screwed the galaxy over. Why'd they ever let him into politics? He fainted when he was promoted to "General Binks" by Boss Nass, they really should've seen it coming... Then he goes and awards the Chancellor emergency powers, leading to the creation of the clone army, and by extension, the ruse of the Clone Wars, and the creation of the Galactic Empire itself...

It's like real life politics. He was good friends with people who had influence but failed to see how much of a moron he is, that their children end up being the ones to try and fix everything.

Course, Palpatine needed a good patsy, what better way then to influence others with "Jar Jar Binks is your friend. Promote him to a position of authority."

Those are both good points... Ugh, real life politics, what a mess...
